New Beginnings

The new version of the engine comes out about 14 days from now. I'll have to start almost completely over for the game, but the new engine can export to iOS, android and html5 as well as Mac and PCs. So one more time to restart to hit a much much higher volume of people I think is worth it.

A tremble in the force

Lately I have been reading different books and playing a lot of Diablo 3 and this is starting to make me want to write again. I may begin working on the script for the game again. If anything changes, I will write again.

Tedious but needed changes

TSo today I was all ready to start eventing the first sequences of he game when I decided to test the map I have. Needless to say there were a lot of graphical errors as well as passability errors.

They are now fixed,  so hopefully I can actually start content soon.

Small changes

Updated the world map with small details reflecting the redone Loazen. All existing maps have been graphically updated. Tomorrow,  hopefully I will start scripting the first events of the redesign!

Back in Black

Well I have returned after a fairly long break. I’m back on track somewhat, but now I am not scheduling any events or progress for LOTDP. Between 2 jobs and my home life, I just don’t have the time anymore to devote to the game. I will still be working on it, just with no time frame. As Blizzard would say, “Soon”.

I have however, created a new map already for Gutridge; a small town that one of the main protagonists is trying to flee from. Probably one of my best, and most professional maps yet. I say complete, but nothing is complete until all the actions and events are scripted. I’m still trying to figure out where to stop the first game as well. I have decided it is better to release my story in segments to build equity, rather then just go all out and hope for the best.

I will check in again soon,
